I didn't really know what the Sail meant by BYOS at the beginning so I clicked around a fair amount and then opted for vanilla. Penguin Pete is a vendor which offers vehicles for sale from the outpost.

I have not had any other mods than Frackin universe so this is a very weird bug. I really liked the look of the vanilla human ship, but was never a fan of its awkward layout.
